Job summary

The Grandover Resort & Spa, a Wyndham Grand Hotel, is hiring experienced Banquet Cooks to prepare food for events and occasions in Greensboro, NC. You will work with the Banquet Chef and kitchen staff to cook, plate, and serve during weddings, corporate events, and holidays.

Weekends and Holidays are required. You should have knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety, and event menu execution. This hourly, full-time role offers benefits and opportunities in a luxury hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related fields preferred but not required.
• Serv Safe Certification preferred but not required.
• At least one year of food preparation experience desirable.
• Banquet cooks should be familiar with food safety, sanitation, and menu planning

Responsibilities

• Cook, plate, and serve food during events such as weddings, corporate meetings or holiday parties.
• Ensure food is prepared to high standards and presented attractively.
• Adhere to cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
• Handle food safely, dating and rotating food containers, and store perishables properly.

The award winning Grandover Resort & Spa, a Wyndham Grand Hotel is currently hiring experienced Banquet Cooks to prepare food for special events and occasions.

We are currently seeking hard-working and experienced individuals to join our team as a cook.

Weekends and Holidays Required

• Responsible forcooking,plating, andserving food during events such as special events, corporate meetings, or holiday parties.
• Responsible for ensuring that the food is prepared to high standards and presented attractively.
• Responsible for adhering to strict cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
• Responsible for handling food safely, dating and rotating food containers, and store perishables appropriately.

Requirements

Job Requirements :

• Collaborate with Banquet Chef and other kitchen staff to communicate about menu items, any issues or shortages.
• Must have a full working knowledge of kitchen equipment, including broilers, steamers, grills and fryers.
