Job summary

The Source Hotel in Denver's RiNo Art District seeks a Banquet Chef to lead culinary operations for banquet and catering events, delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with the Executive Chef, Catering Sales Manager, and Banquet Captain to plan menus, ensure food quality and presentation, and manage costs while maintaining safety and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Strong culinary skills with experience in high-volume food production and event execution.
• Knowledge of banquet, catering, and restaurant culinary operations.
• Ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and translate event requirements into a production plan.
• Leadership and development of culinary team members on banquet production and service standards.
• Ability to manage food costs, minimize waste, and ensure kitchen safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute all food for banquet and catering events held in the hotel’s banquet spaces.
• Review BEOs and event menus to understand guest counts, dietary restrictions, and timing.
• Coordinate with the Catering Sales Manager and Banquet Captain regarding event details and guest requests.
• Work with the Executive Chef to align menus with standards and strategy.
• Plan and organize food preparation and execution based on event schedules and volume.
• Maintain consistency in quality, presentation, temperature, timing, and portion control across events.
• Coordinate timing of food prep and service with the Banquet Captain.
