Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Chef for The Source Hotel, Denver, to lead culinary service for high-volume banquets and catering events. You will coordinate with banquet teams, sales, and hotel operations to ensure flawless execution and guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring strong culinary skills, leadership experience, and a track record of delivering quality, timely service in fast-paced environments. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Strong culinary skills with experience in high-volume food production and event execution.
• Ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and translate requirements into production plans.
• Proven leadership and ability to train and direct culinary staff during events.
• Excellent communication and teamwork across culinary, sales, and hotel operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute all food for banquet and catering events in hotel spaces.
• Review BEOs and event menus to understand guest counts, dietary restrictions, and timing.
• Coordinate with Catering Sales Manager and Banquet Captain on event details and guest requests.
• Work with Executive Chef to align menus with standards and F&B strategy.
• Plan and organize production based on event schedules and volume.
• Ensure recipes, portions, and quality meet established standards.
• Maintain consistency of food quality, presentation, and temperature across events.
• Coordinate timing of preparation and service with Banquet Captain.
• Collaborate with restaurant teams to support events when needed.
• Assist with menu development for catering and banquet offerings.
