Job summary

The Raising Cane's River Center in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking part-time banquet staff to support events at the venue. This role is ideal for candidates seeking flexible hours and the opportunity to provide high-quality catering service for banquets and receptions throughout the year.

Duties include timely arrival in uniforms, assisting with setup and break down, serving beverages and garnishes, maintaining inventory and adhering to alcohol policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pass a background check.
• Minimum 1 year verifiable server experience.
• ServSafe certification and willing to obtain City/Parish Responsible Server Bar Card.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time in proper uniform according to schedule.
• Follow event instructions from Catering Manager or Banquet Captain.
• Assist with collecting banquet equipment and serving pieces.
• Prepare garnishes, beverages, condiments, and breads.
• Assist with cleaning and stocking salt/pepper, sugar, creamer.
• Set up the event room and tables as directed.
• Attend pre-function briefings for event details.
• Provide friendly, courteous customer service at all times.
• Remain at assigned station and complete duties per event.
• Report customer concerns to Banquet Captain or Catering Manager.
• Break down tables and equipment and return items to storage.
• Maintain grooming standards and inventory procedures.
• Follow Alcohol Management Program rules.
• Maintain safe, sanitary working conditions.
