Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts at Costa Mesa Marriott in Orange County, CA seeks a Lead Banquet team member to ensure exceptional guest experiences during events. You will manage BEOs, coordinate setups, and oversee service with a focus on accuracy and guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have hotel experience, strong communication, and knowledge of hotel operations, plus the ability to work under deadlines and adapt to event needs.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Superior communication skills to provide information and services to guests and management.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, including planning and budget awareness.
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication across audiences.

Responsibilities

• Check Banquet Event Orders (BEO) for accuracy and align with setup.
• Verify room setup follows BEO directions and maintain clean public areas.
• Interact with group representatives and provide needed contact info.
• Communicate BEO changes to catering office and departments.
• Coordinate banquet staff for setups, changes and schedules.
• Serve and reset banquet areas, ensure equipment is returned and areas are clean.
• Know menus and ingredients to explain preparation methods.
