Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is opening the Virginia Guesthouse, a 214-room property with 25,000 sq ft of conference space, on the Grounds of the University of Virginia. We are building a welcoming, guest-focused team for our banquet operations at the Virginia Guesthouse.

We are seeking a motivated Banquet Captain to lead hourly banquet staff, coordinate room setups, and oversee service quality to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of food service experience, preferably banquet service.
• Experience in a 4- or 5-star venue with synchronized service.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits.

Responsibilities

• Set up for functions including draping tables, placing centerpieces, and preparing service area.
• Serve and buss tables, carry trays, and clear tables during functions.
• Break down setups, clean back hall, and organize storerooms after events.
• Assist with event room setup and stock workstations; ensure guest satisfaction.
