Pyramid Global Hospitality is opening the Virginia Guesthouse, a 214-room property at the University of Virginia grounds. We seek a motivated Banquet Server (on call) to set up, serve, and tear down banquet functions, ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of food service experience, preferably Banquet service.
• Experience in a 4- or 5-star venue with synchronized service.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up for functions, including draping tables and arranging centerpieces.
• Serve and bus tables, and clear banquet rooms after events.
• Break down tables, remove dirty linen, and vacuum as needed.
• Clean back hall and organize storerooms.
• Prepare stations with coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages.
• Assist with event room setup according to meal periods.
• Prepare condiments and stock workstations for service.
• Serve food and beverages and clear dishes from tables.
• Sanitize tables and counters after guests finish.
• Explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Accommodate guest dietary requests and provide warm welcomes.
