Pyramid Global Hospitality is opening the Virginia Guesthouse, a 214-room hotel with 25,000 square feet of conference space on the University of Virginia grounds. We seek a motivated Banquet Server to assist in setting up and serving at banquet events, and to help tear down after functions, delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of food service experience.
• Experience in a 4- or 5-star venue with synchronized service.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for creating an exceptional guest experience.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up for functions including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks and centerpieces.
• Serve and bus tables, carry trays to function location, and clear food from tables.
• Break down by bussing tables, storing dirty linen and centerpieces, vacuuming.
• Clean back hall and organize storerooms; assist with event room setup as needed.
• Prepare coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages for breaks; ensure workstations are stocked.
• Explain menu items and ingredients; accommodate guest dietary requests.
