Job summary

PCH Hotels & Resorts, including Grand National, seeks a Banquet Captain to supervise the banquet team during events, coordinating setup, service and breakdown while communicating with guests to meet their needs. You will work with the Banquet Manager and Banquet Chef to ensure smooth service and proper presentation of food and beverages.

The role involves supervising up to 30 associates, training staff, and ensuring adherence to alcohol service regulations and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience required to manage up to 30 banquet associates.
• Strong communication with guests, event planners and internal staff.
• Ability to coordinate setup, service and breakdown for events.

Responsibilities

• Consult with the Banquet Manager on serving arrangements, staffing and equipment needs.
• Supervise banquet staff in setting up, serving and breaking down events.
• Maintain open communication with guests and meeting planners to address changes.
• Coordinate with the Banquet Chef to ensure smooth food flow from kitchen to table.
• Ensure correct garnishing and presentation of salads and beverages.
• Inspect table settings and buffet stations for cleanliness and placement.
• Directly supervise up to 30 associates, training and guiding as needed.
• Record guest counts and obtain host signatures for checks.
• Ensure compliance with ABC alcohol service regulations.
