Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks a restaurant server for banquet events at our Grand Hyatt hotels in the United States. You will supervise and coach staff, present menu offerings, and ensure banquet spaces are visually appealing with proper linen, table settings, and beverage service.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in F&B, supervisory experience, and strong organizational skills. Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of related F&B and/or hospitality experience; banquet or catering preferred.
• Supervisory experience, skills & abilities.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead other associates by coaching, giving direction and may include training.
• Make the function space visually appealing and present the menu offering for the event; include linen, table setting, and beverage service.
• General banquet preparation, room refreshes and maintain a sanitary environment.

Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of related F&B and/or hospitality-related experience. Banquet or Catering preferred.
• Supervisory experience , skills & abilities
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision
• Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations
• Excellent time management and planning skills
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
• Ability to maintain close attention to detail
• Experience and a thorough understanding of banquet service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Pay range: $19.00/hr based upon experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to walk and move about throughout shift to supervise and assist banquet servers, stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions
• Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move up to 50 lbs.
