The University of Colorado Boulder’s Campus Dining and Hospitality is seeking a Banquet Captain (Shift Supervisor) to lead catering staff across events, ensuring high service standards, safety, and efficiency. This hands-on role coordinates fulltime, student, and temporary staff, upholding SOPs and fostering a collaborative team environment.

The role emphasizes customer service excellence, strict adherence to food safety and labeling, and proactive issue resolution across banquet and service

Qualificações

• Four years of food service experience; relevant education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Must obtain food safety certification appropriate for the position within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess and maintain a valid and appropriate state driver's license; defensive driving training within 90 days of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and coordinate activities of fulltime, student, and temporary staff during events and services.
• Enforce SOPs, ensure food safety labeling, training, and audits for cost control and quality.
• Recruit, train, coach staff; manage schedules, timekeeping, and performance plans.
• Drive to campus events using university vehicles and support transportation of goods and services to scheduled events.
• Foster a positive work environment and ensure effective communication within the team.
