Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners is seeking a Banquet Captain to supervise banquet staff, oversee setup, service, and breakdown, and ensure exceptional guest experiences across events. You will liaise with Catering Service Manager and Banquet Manager to maintain smooth operations and safety standards.

Responsibilities include verifying BEO details, coordinating with culinary teams, ensuring proper beverage handling, and managing end-of-event reporting.

Qualifications

• Able to read, speak and understand English.
• Able to lift, push, carry 20-40 lbs.
• Stand continuously for long periods; communicate hotel services.

Responsibilities

• Review server’s and house person’s BEOs to ensure accuracy and proper presentation.
• Oversee banquet setup, service and breakdown with attention to guest needs and safety.
• Coordinate with Culinary and Banquet teams; communicate schedule changes and respond to issues.
• Prepare and post banquet checks, present for signature and ensure correct charges.
• Ensure staff return equipment; maintain clean, orderly function spaces and liquor handling.
• Assign duties and manage banquet staff for each event; track attendance and sign-in sheets.
