Job summary

Old Hickory Golf Club seeks a service-focused Banquet Captain to lead banquet events and ensure exceptional experiences for Members and guests. You will coordinate banquet service, lead event staff, and ensure events are executed efficiently while upholding the highest hospitality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a customer-first mindset, with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet or restaurant leadership experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced event environment.
• Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead banquet staff during weddings, tournaments, corporate events, and special occasions.
• Assist with room setup and breakdown according to banquet event orders (BEOs).
• Ensure food and beverage service is timely, professional, and consistent.
• Communicate with the culinary and event teams throughout each event.
• Train and coach banquet staff on service standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas.
• Address guest requests promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with other banquet and clubhouse responsibilities as needed.
