Job summary

Old Hickory Golf Club is seeking a friendly and professional Banquet Server to join our Food & Beverage team. This role provides exceptional service during banquets, weddings, tournaments, member events, and other special functions.

The Banquet Server is responsible for setting up event spaces, serving food and beverages, and ensuring members and guests receive attentive and professional service throughout all banquet and event functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet, restaurant or hospitality settings.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and evenings/weekends.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms, dining areas, buffets, and event spaces according to event specifications.
• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive food and beverage service to members and guests.
• Serve plated meals, buffet items, beverages, and hors d’oeuvres in an efficient and professional manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
• Assist with event breakdown, cleanup, and resetting spaces for future functions.
• Work collaboratively with banquet, culinary, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure successful event execution.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and needs.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching
• Ability to safely lift and carry trays, tables, chairs, and banquet supplies up to 40 pounds
