The Bald Head Island Club in Bald Head Island, NC, is seeking a Banquet Captain to lead private events, weddings, and celebrations with hands-on, on-the-floor leadership.

You will manage banquet teams, ensure all rooms are set per the Banquet Event Order, and coordinate Front of House and Back of House to deliver flawless service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee banquet service for private events, weddings, and special occasions
• Lead, coach, and support banquet staff during events, fostering a positive, professional team environment
• Ensure all rooms are set precisely according to the BEO (Banquet Event Order)
• Act as the liaison between Front of House and Back of House to ensure seamless service
• Conduct regular floor checks during events, assisting the team as needed
• Handle Member and guest concerns promptly, professionally, and with care
• Maintain excellent service timing and pacing throughout each event
• Troubleshoot event needs in real time (AV, music, heaters, fans, room flow, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and service standards
• Complete opening, closing, and post-event checklists and reports
• Continuously look for ways to elevate service and improve satisfaction scores

What You’ll Do

As a Banquet Captain, you’ll be the point person for your assigned events — ensuring everything runs smoothly, beautifully, and on time. You’ll:
