Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club, part of Troon, is seeking a part-time Banquet Captain to lead event service, coordinate staff, and ensure flawless execution of banquet operations in a fast-paced setting.

The role focuses on pre-event planning, staff management, and maintaining service standards while driving guest satisfaction across all events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, plus 3–6 months related experience or training.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Reviews assigned banquet staff functions and menus prior to events.
• Conducts pre-banquet meetings with staff and assigns stations; reviews event orders.
• Communicates with Banquet Manager to ensure all details are planned and met.
• Ensures changes are implemented in a timely manner.
• Manages quantities of china, glassware, linens, and other items; secures shortages.
• Checks room setup and coordinates with Banquet Chef on quantities and timing.
• Ensures proper handling and storage of equipment after use.
• Performs audits during functions to ensure food quality and upsell opportunities.
• Reviews banquet schedule for changes and upcoming events.
• Supports safe work practices and performs other duties as required.

Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club, located in St George, UT, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Banquet Captain! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews assigned banquet staff functions, banquet menus prior to the scheduled event.
• Conducts pre-banquet meetings with staff to ensure appearance and hygiene standards are being met; assign stations and partners; and review banquet event orders.
• Communicates with the Banquet Manager or other assigned coordinator to ensure that all details have been planned for and met.
• Ensures that changes and further instructions are made in a timely manner.
• Ensures that appropriate quantities of china, glassware, silverware, linens, and other items are available for upcoming events. Secures requisitions for those items not available in inventory.
• Checks room set-up prior to event and meets with Banquet Chef to confirm quantities of food items and timing of food leaving the kitchen.
• Ensures proper handling of all equipment (i.e. china, glassware, silverware, linen, and props) and their proper storage after use.
• Conducts random audits during functions to evaluate food and service. Ensures that food is served at appropriate temperature; food is placed properly on the table; sufficient food is available; and up sell opportunities are met.
• Regularly reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Qualifications

Regular and reliable attendance.
