Job Description

Omni PGA Frisco Resort is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team. The resort features 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 food and beverage outlets, a luxurious spa, and a vibrant entertainment district, along with two championship 18-hole golf courses and a third short course, providing exceptional options for dining, events, and entertainment.

The Banquet Captain will supervise the banquet service staff to ensure the successful execution of events and exceed guest expectations. This role leads banquet servers and bartenders, ensuring food presentation, timely service, and proper coordination of functions.

Responsibilities

• Control all aspects of banquet function execution.
• Supervise banquet staff during food and beverage service.
• Coordinate all aspects of banquet staff activities during service.
• Assist the Banquet Manager in the overall operation of the Banquet Department.
• Adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
• Comply with all liquor liability laws.
• Conduct staff/pre-function meetings as designated.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Follow all details outlined in Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Set tables to specifications, carry trays, and provide excellent customer service.
• Complete banquet consumption sheets as directed by the Director of Banquets.
• Attend department meetings and required training sessions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of banquet leadership experience, preferably in a four-star/four-diamond hotel or resort.
• Valid Food Handlers and TABC certifications or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and maintain a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented attitude with a positive outlook.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
