Concord Hospitality Enterprises in Chattanooga seeks a Banquet Captain to lead banquet operations for events, supervise staff, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. You will coordinate service, oversee setup and breakdown, and work closely with the F&B Manager to meet event requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and a detail-oriented approach, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior Banquet or Food & Beverage leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced event environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of departmental policies, service procedures, and Brand standards.
• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to understand event expectations.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings, review menu and service requirements for each event.
• Greet event hosts and guests.
• Assist with food and beverage delivery during peak periods.
• Train banquet staff on service techniques for plated meals, buffets, and receptions.
• Anticipate guest needs and monitor satisfaction with food, beverage, and service.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns.
• Supervise setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet events.
• Submit end-of-event reports.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe service areas.

We are hiring Banquet Captain

As a Banquet Captain, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring seamless and memorable event experiences. Working closely with the F&B Manager, you will supervise banquet staff, coordinate food and beverage service, and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction across all events—from meetings and trainings to receptions and reunions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and Brand standards.
• Review and understand Banquet Event Orders BEOs) to have knowledge of expectations of events.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings with banquet staff, go over menu and service requirements to ensure that the event is a success.
• Greet event hosts and guests.
• Assist with food and beverage delivery when needed, especially during peak service periods.
• Train banquet staff on proper service techniques for plated meals, buffets, and reception-style events.
• Anticipate guest needs and monitor satisfaction with food, beverages, and service.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and concerns.
• Supervise the setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet events.
• Submit end of event reports.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe service areas at all times.
