Job summary

Concord is seeking a Banquet Captain in Grand Rapids, MI to lead banquet staff and coordinate service for a variety of events. You will work closely with the Banquet Manager to ensure seamless execution, high guest satisfaction, and smooth operations from setup through breakdown.

Role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Competitive pay and full-time benefits are offered.

We are hiringBanquet Captain

As aBanquet Captain,you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring seamless and memorable event experiences. Working closely with the Banquet Manager, you will supervise banquet staff, coordinate food and beverage service, and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction across all events—from meetings and trainings to receptions and reunions.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaincomplete knowledge of andcomply withall departmental policies, service procedures, andBrandstandards.
• Reviewand understandBanquet Event Orders BEOs)to have knowledge of expectations ofevents.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings with banquet staff, go over menu and service requirementsto ensure that the event is a success.
• Greet event hosts andguests.
• Assistwith food and beverage delivery when needed, especially during peak service periods.
• Train banquet staff on proper service techniques for plated meals, buffets, and reception-style events.
• Anticipateguest needs and monitor satisfaction with food,beverages, and service.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and concerns.
• Supervise the setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet events.
• Submitend of event reports.
• Maintainclean, organized, and safe service areasat all times.
