Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Part-Time Banquet Captain at Miraval Austin Resort and Spa. The role oversees all banquet activities, leads team members, and ensures the event space is visually appealing and the menu is presented to guests. Attendance includes coordinating setups, scheduling, and possibly serving during functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all banquet activities under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage.
• Lead other team members by coaching, directing, and possibly training.
• Make the function space visually appealing and present the menu offering for the event.
• Coordinate with banquet staff set-ups, changes, and time schedules for all functions.
• Operate as a banquet server when needed, setting up, greeting and serving guests.

Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, the Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing all banquet activities. This includes leading other team members by coaching, giving direction and may include training. They are responsible for making the function space visually appealing and presenting the menu offering for the event. This may include linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service. Other duties include:

General banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Contact with group representatives.

Coordinate with banquet staff set-ups, changes, and time schedules for all functions.

Operate as a banquet server when needed, setting- up, greeting and serving the guest and breaking down the function.

Assist in a leadership role in alternate food & beverage outlets as needed.
