The St. James Hotel in Red Wing, MN is seeking a Bartender to join our Banquet team. Provide impeccable hospitality, greet guests, and serve drinks with accuracy and style to ensure a memorable dining experience.

You will dispense beverages, maintain product knowledge, and uphold safety and regulatory standards while working as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced setting.

The targeted hiring range for this position is $15.08 - $20.05 per hour depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand. Job Description

Are you passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional service? Join our Banquet team at St. James Hotel as a Bartender! We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled individual to provide superior service to our guests, ensuring an unforgettable dining experience.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests with a smile, take orders, and serve food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) with professionalism and warmth.
• Dispense appropriate levels of alcohol and prepare drinks according to recipes and hotel standards.
• Adhere to all hotel, local, state, and federal regulations to ensure safe and proper food and alcohol service.
• Maintain full knowledge of all food, cocktail, wine, and beer offerings to assist guests effectively.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the entire restaurant.
• Properly use all equipment and adhere to cost controls to minimize expenses and waste.
• Work as a team player, contributing to the success of the bar, restaurant, and events.
• Accurately handle cash and reconcile bartender financials at the end of the shift.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide efficient and timely services.

Qualifications

Two years of related customer service experience, preferably with cash handling.

• Basic computer skills, strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work in a face paced environment while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Must have weekend and evening availability. Anticipated weekly hours range from 10-20/week during peak season.
