Dunn Law, P.A is seeking a Bankruptcy Paralegal in Miami to manage case openings, filings, and deadline calendars. The role emphasizes independent judgment in reconciling debtor schedules, claims, and estate records within Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 contexts.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of bankruptcy paralegal experience, proficiency with CM/ECF, PACER, and Florida E-Filing, and strong Excel skills to reconcile records and prepare comprehensive reporting packages for bankruptcy estates.

Qualifications

Three or more years as a paralegal in bankruptcy, insolvency, creditors’ rights, or commercial litigation.
Working knowledge of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 practice, petition through closing.
Proficiency with CM/ECF, PACER, and the Florida E-Filing Portal.
Ability to calculate deadlines independently and explain how a date was derived.
Advanced Microsoft Excel, including reconciliation of two sets of records.
Disciplined electronic file management in a cloud practice management system.
Ability to draft correspondence and initial pleadings to a standard that requires editing rather than rewriting.
Proven discretion with confidential financial and client information.

Responsibilities

Open matters and set conflicts checks.
Record time with detailed descriptions for fee reviews.
File motions, notices, and proposed orders via CM/ECF and Florida E-Filing Portal.
Calculate deadlines under FRBP, local rules, and chambers procedures.
Review court notices and route to attorneys with deadlines identified.
