Job summary

Newrez in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Supervisor Bankruptcy to lead a team of Bankruptcy Case Managers, ensuring adherence to processes, timelines and metrics while overseeing training and personnel management. You will oversee policy updates, identify improvement opportunities, coach staff, coordinate with attorneys, and manage reporting and data analysis to drive recovery metrics.

The role requires 6+ years in bankruptcy or mortgage service and 1-2 years of management, with a bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 6+ years in bankruptcy or mortgage service required.
• 1-2 years of management experience.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities with effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a staff of multiple Bankruptcy Case Managers.
• Develop and maintain up-to-date policies and procedures.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement new processes.
• Train new hires on systems, investor guidelines, and industry standards.
• Train the team on new processes and use reporting to manage the team.
• Conduct personnel management including coaching and annual reviews.
• Serve as bankruptcy point of contact for other departments and attorneys on escalated issues.
• Track and analyze departmental data and report activities.
• Assist with attorney billing and invoice approval.
• Accept special tasks and ensure objectives are met.
• Make business decisions based on likelihood of recovery vs liability risks.
