Newrez LLC in Tempe, AZ, seeks a Bankruptcy Case Manager II to organize and manage complex bankruptcy accounts, ensuring maximum recovery. You will analyze, review, and refer cases to keep payment streams aligned with bankruptcy plans while coordinating with internal teams and external attorneys.

The role requires a detail‑oriented professional with strong communication and multitasking abilities, plus familiarity with bankruptcy processes and related software tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of related experience in mortgage bankruptcy or legal services.
• Any legal background would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex bankruptcy accounts or increased caseloads.
• Receive, update and review bankruptcy information daily.
• Research accounts using PACER, AIS, trustee sites and internal systems.
• Prepare and file Proofs of Claim and Transfers of Claim with bankruptcy courts.
• Monitor payments per bankruptcy plan including trustee and post-petition payments.
• Identify issues that qualify for legal actions such as plan objections or claim objections.
• Coordinate with Bankruptcy Litigation, Foreclosure and Loss Mitigation teams.
• Perform discharge reviews to determine lien release requirements.
