Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Bankruptcy Case Manager III to handle complex bankruptcy accounts with detailed audits and guidance for BCMs. You will analyze, review, and monitor accounts to maximize recovery within bankruptcy parameters.

The role requires managing higher caseloads, researching cases via PACER and internal systems, preparing court documents, and coordinating with litigation and loss mitigation teams to ensure proper treatment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or extensive industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Mortgage bankruptcy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take on complex bankruptcy accounts or larger caseloads.
• Receive, update and review bankruptcy information daily.
• Research accounts using PACER, AIS, trustee sites and internal systems.
• Prepare and file Transfers of Claim with bankruptcy courts by deadlines.
• Ensure pre- and post-petition payment tracking in ILS.
• Document all bankruptcy correspondence related to collateral.
• Monitor payments per bankruptcy plan with trustee and post-petition payments.
• Coordinate with trustee, debtor's attorney, or debtor as needed.
• Identify issues qualifying for legal action (plan/claim objections, etc.).
• Work with Litigation, Foreclosure and Loss Mitigation teams for proper handling.
• Perform discharge reviews for lien release and adjustments.
• Assist on special projects and create complex court documents.
• Perform quality audits and provide feedback to BCMs.
