Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Ledger Specialist to complete and monitor ledgers for residential mortgage bankruptcies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with investor timelines and company policies.

You will balance ledgers, verify payment histories, respond to bankruptcy attorneys, and coordinate the gathering of documents for filings, while collaborating with multiple internal teams to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of bankruptcy experience in banking, finance, or mortgage.
• Strong math and accounting capabilities for manual calculations.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete ledgers and monitoring for bankruptcy processes with high accuracy.
• Verify borrower payment history and resolve posting discrepancies.
• Respond to inquiries from bankruptcy attorneys and other stakeholders.
• Research and remediate files using Fiserv/Sagent and servicer data.
• Coordinate document gathering and filings for bankruptcy actions.
• Provide root cause analysis and propose process improvements.
