Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a law firm or professional office preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide professional client service.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys and bankruptcy team with Chapter 7 and 13 cases.
• Communicate with clients regarding documents, appointments, deadlines, and routine case matters.
• Help clients understand information and documents they need to provide.
• Collect, organize, review, and maintain financial documents for bankruptcy cases.
• Enter and maintain accurate client and case information in case-management software.
• Prepare bankruptcy petitions, schedules, statements, and related documents under supervision.
• Review files for completeness and identify missing information.
• Follow up with clients regarding outstanding documents and case requirements.
• Assist with meetings of creditors, hearings, and other bankruptcy proceedings.
• Maintain calendars, deadlines, appointments, and other case-related tasks.
