Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior law firm or office- environment experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases.
• Communicate with clients regarding documents, appointments, case requirements, deadlines, and routine matters.
• Help clients understand information and documentation needed.
• Collect, organize, review, and maintain financial documents for bankruptcy cases.
• Enter and maintain accurate client and case information in case-management and bankruptcy software.
• Prepare bankruptcy petitions, schedules, statements, and related documents under attorney supervision.
• Review files for completeness and identify missing documents or information.
• Follow up with clients regarding outstanding documents and requirements.
• Assist with meetings of creditors, hearings, and other bankruptcy proceedings.
