About the Opportunity:

Our Tax Bankruptcy Practice Group is known for its deep expertise, client-first approach, and innovative solutions in eliminating tax liabilities through strategic bankruptcy filings. We are seeking a proactive, experienced Bankruptcy Attorney to be a key contributor to our dynamic team.

This is a unique opportunity to play a lead role in complex, high-impact cases while working alongside former DOJ attorneys, IRS professionals, and seasoned tax practitioners. Key Responsibilities:

• Represent debtors in Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and Subchapter V bankruptcy proceedings, including bankruptcy litigation.
• Manage a full docket of cases from intake through resolution, including direct client communication, court appearances, and drafting/reviewing pleadings.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on the intersection of tax liabilities and bankruptcy law.
• Collaborate with tax attorneys, CPAs, and paralegals across practice groups to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
• Maintain high professional standards in client service, legal research, and written advocacy.

Required Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in the State of Ohio.
• Minimum of 6 years of bankruptcy law experience, focusing on representing debtors.
• Proficiency in CM/ECF electronic filing systems.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex bankruptcy matters and litigation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in tax-related bankruptcy matters.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus (but not required).
• Proficiency with Clio law practice management and Best Case bankruptcy software.
