Job summary

Hyundai Capital America in Atlanta, GA seeks a Bankruptcy Associate to manage complex bankruptcy accounts and ensure compliant resolution. You will work across Chapter 7, 13, Discharge, 11, and 12 processes for retail and lease accounts nationwide, following internal controls and procedures.

You will interact with customers and attorneys, maintain accurate records, and support various bankruptcy functions while upholding quality standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years finance or bankruptcy experience.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Ability to multitask and manage time daily.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven problem solving and customer service ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage bankruptcy accounts (Chapter 7/13, Discharge, Chapter 11/12) across channels.
• Review data, petitions, plans, court orders, and payoff history to determine treatment.
• Monitor case milestones, deadlines, and trustee or payment activity.
• Prepare and file reaffirmations, claims, notices, and related docs.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation in internal/external systems.
• Escalate legal/compliance or system issues as needed.
• Communicate with customers, attorneys, and third parties regarding accounts.
• Participate in coaching and process knowledge sharing.
