Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Personal Banker Associate I in Brentwood, TN. This role focuses on consultative selling to identify and meet customers’ financial needs, with emphasis on acquiring new households and expanding relationships through retail products and services.

After a 4–8 week onboarding and rotations in operations and Sales & Service, successful candidates may certify to advance within the Retail Personal Banker job family. This position requires S.A.F.E. Act/NMLS registration.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience, or combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Ability to develop comfort with sales activities to acquire new consumer households and cross-sell.
• Ability to analyze credit and financial information.
• Professional representation of Fifth Third Bank in appearance and communication.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration required via NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a customer profile and identify financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products/services and recommend solutions.
• Use CAMP and approved tools to set appointments for periodic financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities as directed.
• Establish relationships with Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment partners to provide holistic solutions.
• Meet or exceed customer experience and production goals and drive year-over-year revenue growth.
• Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referral processes.
• Promote customer satisfaction with professionalism and ethics.
• Follow policy, procedures, and risk controls to protect customers and the bank.
• Participate in consumer loan and bankcard processes from application through closing.
• Participate in opening/closing of Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed by the Manager.
• Stay up-to-date on Retail procedures to mitigate fraud and risk.
