Job summary

Sunwest Bank in Sandy, UT is seeking a Banking Operations & Systems Specialist to provide day-to-day production support for banking software and third-party solutions. You will gather and interpret data to improve processes, guide users, manage incidents, and support new implementations, releases and upgrades.

You will coordinate with vendors, oversee change management, document configurations, and ensure data integrity and compliance across systems.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of applications, integrations and data management.
• Working knowledge of environments involved with business unit applications, including parameter settings, network, and application analysis.
• Experience with report writing tools.
• Thorough problem analysis and strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Highly organized with ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of business applications, including planning, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and support.
• Serve as the primary IT liaison to business units to ensure solutions meet needs.
• Capture business requirements for improvements and enhancements to systems.
• Oversee integrations between internal systems and external platforms, ensuring data integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues for end-users and technical teams.
• Evaluate and implement enhancements or replacements to optimize performance.
• Participate in new system implementations and oversee change management and access rights.
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers for support and improvements.
• Document system configurations, workflows, and procedures.
• Monitor data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Coordinate disaster recovery testing.
• Create and maintain custom reports using BI tools tailoring to needs.
• Train end users on system features and best practices.
• Review user access and ensure proper permissions.
