Description

Convergint is seeking a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Banking Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on banking security equipment, including security cameras, access control, alarm systems, banking drive-up equipment, vaults, safe deposit boxes, ATMs, and more. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential. As a Banking Service Technician, you will be part of a dynamic team that fosters growth and development.

What You'll Do with "Our Training and Your Experience"

• Participate in our Recruit Awesome People program to help grow Convergint by promoting our colleague-first culture and referring top talent.
• Develop skills in at least one of three areas: locksmiths, drive-up systems, or electronics. Install equipment and support existing customers by responding to service calls. Repair, rebuild, and service remote drive-up systems, audio/video equipment, and locking mechanisms.
• Install, program, test, repair, and service various systems and equipment, including remote units, audio/video systems, and network systems. Perform preventative maintenance and mentor less experienced staff.
• Handle installation, troubleshooting, and repair of remote units, alert systems, and other equipment. Respond to customer service, scheduled maintenance, and emergency calls promptly.
• Identify project challenges, communicate issues, and assist in developing strategies to stay within budget and schedule.
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance. Estimate costs and materials for replacements.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Use troubleshooting skills to resolve malfunctions.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring Convergint remains the preferred service provider.
• Collaborate with team members to improve operations and suggest product improvements.
• Stay informed on company policies and present a professional image at all times.
• Perform additional duties as required.

What You'll Need

• Knowledge of drive-up, locking, and electronic systems specific to banking.
• Basic understanding of DVRs and NVRs connected to remote systems.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Customer focus and strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Adaptability to changing situations and information.
• Ability to pass high-level security clearance.

Minimum Requirements

High School diploma or GED required. Preferred experience includes:

• Technical diploma or trade experience (e.g., Electrician)
• At least 1 year of banking specialist experience in commercial, industrial, or facilities operations
• Experience in electronics, fire alarm & life safety, or building automation industries
