Job summary

Deloitte USA’s Converge for FSI team seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with premier financial services clients and embed with their engineering teams. You will help design, implement, and optimize microservices-based solutions using BankingSuite, and influence product direction through close client collaboration.

Expect hands-on architecture work, rapid PoCs, and high-visibility impact across engagements, with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, business, marketing or related field; MBA a plus.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with client-facing or field engineering roles.
• Willingness to travel 20-30% on average to serve clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical point of contact for strategic client accounts and lead technical discovery sessions.
• Translate complex concepts into clear narratives for tech and non-technical audiences.
• Design scalable, production-ready microservices with client architects and internal teams.
• Provide guidance on microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and cloud deployment patterns.
• Prototype and deliver POCs to demonstrate platform value in real client use cases.
• Create high-quality demos, runbooks, and integration guides for clients.
• Facilitate deep-dive technical workshops and onboarding sessions for client engineers.
• Surface product gaps and integration friction to internal teams.
