Job summary

First Bank (FBNC) is seeking a Banking Operations & Process Analyst to optimize connectivity between banking platforms, transaction systems, and client touchpoints.

The role focuses on standardizing workflows, documenting procedures, and ensuring regulatory alignment across audit standards. This position supports the Deposit Operations team and bridges product, service, and operations teams using data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, design, configure and implement system settings, workflow structures, automation rules, routing logic, document requirements across multiple banking systems and platforms.
• Establish and maintain documentation and mapping of processes within Operations and across related business functions where workflows intersect.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, validation activities, change documentation and post-implementation follow-up for system, workflow, document, or process changes affecting bank operations.
• Analyze system, workflow, documentation or process issues; determine root cause; evaluate options; and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with system owners, vendors, and business partners to understand workflow impacts and cross-functional dependencies.
• Build working knowledge of Banking Operations processes and integration with other areas such as origination, servicing, and support.
• Provide guidance to operational teams on workflow standards, documentation expectations, and implementation requirements.
• Maintain process documentation, procedural guides, and system reference materials for consistency.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve clarity, strengthen controls, and support consistent execution across lines of business.
• Translate business needs into system, workflow, and documentation requirements and determine implementation approaches.
