Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for Banking and Finance in Continuing Education. The non-credit instructor will deliver classroom instruction, evaluate student progress, and assist in developing curriculum under the Director of Corporate and Community Education.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and the ability to use technology for presentations; travel to other campuses is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of training or certification in the banking and finance industry; or college, or completion of an equivalent military or company-sponsored training program, or completion of courses comparable with the field of banking and finance.
• Substantial industry experience and/or recognized credentials may be a substitution for education.
• Must be willing to travel to other campuses as needed.
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Instruct non-credit classroom and evaluate students’ progress.
• Acquire knowledge of training curriculum and help develop instructional content.
• Implement curriculum and facilitate classroom discussion/role plays.
• Create an environment conducive to learning and meet training objectives.
• Tutor, instruct, and monitor students in lecture and/or lab.
• Submit required reports on time (evaluations, trainee performance, time sheets).
