Job summary

Georgia State Government is seeking an Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics to teach on-campus and online courses, including dual enrollment, and to develop curricula and assessments. The position is part-time with hourly compensation commensurate with education and experience, and may require travel between campuses.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mathematics or closely related field with 18 semester hours (30 quarter hours) of graduate mathematics coursework.
• Doctorate in mathematics or doctorate with 18+ graduate-level mathematics coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach on-campus and online classes, both during the day and evening.
• Teach dual enrollment classes as assigned.
• Prepare lesson plans for classroom and online instruction.
• Develop program curriculum, syllabi, goals, and objectives.
• Evaluate students’ progress in achieving goals and objectives.
• Assess student learning outcomes.
• Attend professional development training sessions.
• Participate in departmental, college, and state faculty meetings.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
