Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a customer service representative to support banking clients in Janesville, WI. You will assist callers with questions, process account inquiries, and maintain a high standard of service.

The role emphasizes accuracy, policy adherence, and timely problem resolution while offering participation in our Total Rewards program and potential incentives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service experience preferred.
• Previous contact center experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer applications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral & written.
• High level of interpersonal skills to interact with customers.
• Ability to work additional hours beyond department hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist callers with questions and account inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Service customers over the phone with accuracy and efficiency within policy guidelines.
• Create a quality service experience with timely resolution and follow-up.
• Refer requests outside scope to management and notify for suspicious activity.
• Adhere to bank compliance, security and operational policies.
