Job summary

American Bank & Trust Company is seeking a Customer Service Associate to assist customers with deposit accounts, vault, teller transactions, and back-up for receptions. The role requires attention to detail, excellent communication, and a commitment to exceptional service for current and potential customers.

It is a full-time position with an 8-hour shift between 7:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, depending on location.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
One-year cash handling experience.
Prior customer service experience in financial services preferred.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn job-related software; proficient in Word and Outlook.
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Basic math and computer skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to diagnose, resolve or escalate issues.

Responsibilities

Open, close, and maintain accounts according to Bank procedures and state regulations.
Collect and document required client information on multiple applications.
Ensure signature cards and documents are completed correctly.
Assist customers with opening/accessing safety deposit boxes.
Help customers with balance inquiries and account maintenance.
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate bank products.
Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
Adhere to all compliance and BSA/AML rules related to the function.
Understand all products offered by the Bank and follow procedures.
