Job summary

Wheatland Bank is seeking a friendly Customer Service Representative/Teller to join the Twisp team. You will handle a variety of banking needs with a focus on exceptional customer service and accuracy in cash handling.

The role includes deposits, withdrawals, cashier’s checks, vault duties, and cross-selling bank products. Excellent communication and confidentiality are required; training provided, with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in a professional and confidential manner.
• Basic ten-key skills.
• Professional verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process retail and commercial deposits and verify documents.
• Cashes checks and withdrawals, ensures proper authorization and limits.
• Operate computer terminals to process activity and resolve issues.
• Assist with night depository duties, logs, deposits and change orders.
• Cross-sell the Bank’s products and services to customers.
• Issue cashier’s checks and perform safe deposit duties.
• Handle stop payments and hold requests.
• Accept loan payments from customers.
• Balance cash drawer daily and verify accurate cash at end of day.
• Provide effective customer service and resolve issues within authority.
• Maintain records, logs, and prepare wire transfers; sort mail/reports.
• Answer phones and direct callers to staff.
• Gather data and process various reports.
• Process traveler’s checks, ATM deposits, change orders, and deposit slips.
• Assist in opening/closing vault and balancing currency.
• Copy/scan/fax documents to files and distribute to personnel.
