First Merchants is seeking a Banking Center Manager in Iowa to lead sales and coaching for deposits and loans, while guiding staff to deliver full banking services. You will use educational tools to enroll customers in electronic banking and mentor staff to deepen client relationships.

The role emphasizes cross-selling, exception handling and operational excellence to enhance customer experience and market share in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to sell and cross-sell bank products and services.
• Supervisory or lead experience in the banking industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sales team to achieve threshold activity levels and performance goals.
• Notary Public designation within six months of employment.
• S.A.F.E Act registration required at employment through NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales tactics and strategies for the banking center to drive sales productivity and grow deposits and loans.
• Provide coaching monthly as part of the Sales Management Process.
• Educate customers on electronic banking products and services via the kiosk.
• Deliver cross-sale opportunities and referrals to increase share of wallet.
• Assist teller line during peak times to reduce wait times and fill service gaps.
• Manage all operational aspects of the banking center and monitor the operational scorecard.
• Resolve deposit and loan exceptions promptly to maintain compliance and customer experience.
