Job summary

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Banking Center Manager to lead a busy banking center. You will develop and implement sales plans, coach staff, provide strong managerial direction, and oversee daily operations for compliance and service excellence.

You will drive external business development, nurture client relationships, and guide product cross-sell across deposits, loans and treasury services to expand market share. This position requires leadership, initiative and a focus on team growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of sales, management, banking, or related experience including supervision.
• S.A.F.E Act registration required at time of employment.
• Notary Public designation required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect operations and compliance of the banking center.
• Develop and implement an aggressive sales and marketing strategy to drive deposits, loans and referrals.
• Regularly conduct outside sales calls to nurture relationships and grow market share.
• Market all banking functions including deposits, lending, wealth and merchant services.
• Open accounts and process loan applications for consumer and business customers.
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints with authority using service-to-sales techniques.
• Coach staff through weekly sales and pipeline meetings and regular coaching conversations.
• Promote effective use of guided conversations to expand relationships and share of wallet.
