Job summary

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Banking Center Manager to lead a banking center team, drive sales plans and coach staff toward exceptional service. You will oversee operations, compliance, and customer experience while partnering with business customers in the local market.

The role emphasizes outside sales, staff development, and effective leadership to meet performance goals and maintain Gold Standard for Service across the center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum of three years of sales, management, banking, or related experience including supervisory capacity.
• This position requires S.A.F.E Act registration via NMLS within three months of hire.
• Obtain Notary Public designation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect all operations and compliance of the banking center.
• Develop and implement an aggressive sales and marketing strategy to drive deposits, loans and referrals.
• Regularly conduct outside sales calls to nurture relationships and grow market share.
• Open accounts and process loan applications for consumer and business clients.
• Resolve customer inquiries, problems and complaints within authority using service-to-sales techniques.
• Coach the team with sales routines, weekly meetings and regular feedback.
