Job summary

JVS SoCal in Los Angeles is seeking a BankWork$ Instructor to deliver coaching and training sessions using the current curriculum, while developing additional material in soft skills, business acumen and job search techniques to help participants transition to full employment. The role requires a bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in retail banking, plus 2+ years of adult classroom training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; equivalent combinations considered.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a retail banking environment.
• Minimum of two years’ experience conducting classroom training for adults.
• Experience working with multicultural and/or low-income populations preferred.
• One to two years’ experience in client recruitment, enrollment and career assessment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver BankWork$ curriculum and training sessions using existing materials.
• Develop additional curriculum in soft skills, business acumen, and job search techniques.
• Recruit, evaluate, and screen candidates for enrollment with ICO staff.
• Cultivate relationships with area banks to create job opportunities for graduates.
• Maintain documentation of classroom performance and participant progress.
