Job summary

Foresight Bank in Northern Illinois is seeking a Business Development Officer to grow market share by identifying new business opportunities and cultivating existing client relationships through a proactive sales approach.

The role requires building relationships, generating leads across banking services, and collaborating with Relationship Managers while ensuring compliant documentation and community visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience and/or training.
• Must possess valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and adequate auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Uncovers potential business opportunities with prospective customers, and communicates opportunities to SVP, Commercial Banking.
• Participates in ongoing communication with prospects/customers with Relationship Manager.
• Maintains professional communication and conduct with all clients, prospects and associates.
• Generates leads for bank services related to Business Banking, Retail Banking, Investments, Indirect Lending and Mortgage Banking.
• Champions dual calling with Relationship Managers.
• Maintains high level of customer service and team relations.
• Participates in community organizations to increase visibility and build referral networks.
• Ensures client documentation and loan/supporting documentation are obtained and accurate.
• Participates in underwriting and documentation of credit.
