Job summary

Foresight Bank in Illinois is seeking a part-time Business Development Officer to locate new business opportunities and build client relationships across our markets in the Loves Park/Perryville area.

This high-contact role focuses on proactive sales, targeted outreach, and collaboration with Relationship Managers to generate leads for banking services including Business, Retail, Investments and Mortgage Banking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field.
• Minimum 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and adequate auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Uncovers potential business opportunities and communicates opportunities to SVP, Commercial Banking.
• Participates in ongoing communication with prospects/customers in conjunction with assigned Relationship Manager.
• Maintains professional communication and conduct with all clients, prospects and associates.
• Generates leads for additional bank services relating to Business Banking, Retail Banking, Investments, Indirect Lending and Mortgage Banking.
• Champions dual calling efforts with Relationship Managers.
• Maintains and promotes a superior level of professional customer service and Team Member relations at all times.
• Actively participates in community organizations and events to increase the bank’s visibility and image in order to build a solid referral network.
• Assures that all client documentation, customer agreements, and required loan and supporting documentation are obtained and accurate.
• Participates in the underwriting and documentation of the credit.
• Monitors customer performance and maintains timely reporting to include the receipt of and review of required financial information.
• Undertakes special projects and/or assignments for the bank, as needed.
• Maintain compliance with and adhere to all state and federal regulations and bank policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, FACT ACT, Community Reinvestment Act, and EEO/AA/Fair Employment Practices.
