Job summary

Qualifications

• 1+ years of banking teller experience required for CSR II level.

• 3+ years of teller experience required for Senior New Accounts/CSR III level.
• Experience opening consumer accounts is required.
• Experience opening basic business accounts is required for CSR III and preferred for CSR II.
• Advanced experience opening consumer and complex business accounts is required for Senior New Accounts/CSR III level.
• Knowledge of basic banking regulations, including BSA and Information Security, is required based on role level.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking systems is required.
• Strong customer relations skills with the ability to communicate clearly and work cooperatively with clients and team members.

• Open, maintain, and close consumer accounts and business accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and other deposit products.
• Interview and profile clients to understand their financial needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services.
• Cross-sell bank solutions, identify referral opportunities, and support branch growth and profitability goals.
• Process teller transactions as needed while maintaining accurate balancing and strong cash-handling standards.
• Respond to client inquiries in person and by phone with professional, courteous, and solution-focused service.
• Follow all bank policies, procedures, documentation requirements, and applicable banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act requirements.

Job Summary

We are seeking a customer-focused Banker-Alameda for a direct hire opportunity with a community-oriented banking team in Alameda, CA. This role is ideal for a banking professional with teller, new accounts, customer service, and relationship-building experience who enjoys helping clients choose the right financial products and services.

The Banker will play an important role in opening and maintaining consumer and business accounts, supporting client needs, promoting banking solutions, and ensuring compliance with banking policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Open, maintain, and close consumer accounts and business accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and other deposit products.
• Interview and profile clients to understand their financial needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay range: $20 to $31.90 per hour.
• Employment type: Direct hire.
• Location: Alameda, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 1 or more years of banking teller experience required for CSR II level.

• Experience opening consumer accounts is required.

• Excellent judgment, professionalism, confidentiality, and ability to handle sensitive client information.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, follow procedures, and provide timely, courteous service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience preferred for Senior New Accounts/CSR III level.
• Experience supporting Treasury Services such as remote deposit capture, armored service, or courier service is a plus.
• Experience handling complex client situations, supervisor overrides, or large transaction approvals is preferred for senior-level candidates.
