Job summary

FirstBank Southwest is seeking a Teller to handle deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing while providing excellent customer service in a busy branch environment. You will verify cash, balance drawers, and assist customers with routine banking needs, cross-selling bank products where appropriate.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of banking or cash handling experience, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 1 year banking or cash handling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Accept deposits, verify cash, and cash checks.
• Process withdrawals, loan payments, transfer requests, and stop payments.
• Accept payments for loans and balance cash drawer daily.
• Operate and balance ATM as needed; complete currency transaction reports.
• Balance coin machine and order cash as needed.
• Process customer check orders and redeem savings bonds.
• Promote bank products and services; cross-sell as opportunity arises.
• Answer customer questions and resolve problems; follow teller policies.
• May participate in bank opening/closing and maintain customer relations.
