Job summary

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Service Associate (Teller) to join our team. You will provide high quality customer service by accurately and efficiently completing bank transactions and suggesting products to meet customers' financial needs.

You will balance cash, handle daily transactions, and participate in a high performing sales environment by making referrals and cross-selling bank services while ensuring compliance and customer privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 3 months of sales, cash handling, or related experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests for banking transactions.
• Balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM.
• Contribute to sales by selling bank products and making referrals.
• Understand and ensure compliance with regulations and reporting.
• Assist with opening and/or closing banking center.
• Participate in daily/weekly meetings and coaching sessions.
