Job summary

HomeTrust Bank is seeking a Teller to provide exceptional customer service by accurately processing banking transactions and addressing routine service issues within established guidelines. You will educate customers on new products and services and identify opportunities to make referrals.

Responsibilities include handling deposits/withdrawals, processing loan payments, balancing cash, and promoting bank products while maintaining confidentiality and complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of public contact or sales experience.
• Above average PC and technology skills, and ability to use applicable software and operation of branch automation systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to resolve customer concerns/issues in a positive way.
• Ability to understand and use bank policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Receive checks and cash for deposits, verify amounts, enter deposits, and place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
• Cash checks and process withdrawals after verification of signatures and balances.
• Receive and process mortgage, consumer loan payments, ensuring amounts match balances due.
• Balance cash drawer and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Promote and refer bank products and services, including HELOCs, IRAs, and treasury management services.
• Participate in branch and bank sales, service, and product training meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
• Follow regulatory requirements and complete annual compliance training.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
